The Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (LILAMA) and LILAMA 10 Joint Stock Company (LILAMA 10) successfully cooperated with the Investor to install generators at the Nhơn Trạch 4 power plant.

This is one of the important milestones aimed at ensuring the commercial operation date (COD) of the Nhơn Trạch 4 power plant in the second quarter of 2025.

The generator of the Nhơn Trạch 4 power plant, supplied by OEM GE, model W88, originates from Poland, with a capacity of 892 MVA and a weight of 453.6 tons. The generator's length is 11.89 meters, width is 4.86 meters, and height is 4.92 meters.

The Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plant project in Nhon Trach district, Đồng Nai province, is a nationally important project with a capacity of 1,500 MW and a total investment of 1.4 billion USD. It is expected to add approximately 9 billion kWh of electricity per year to the national power grid when operational. The plant is part of the Electricity Plan VII, entrusted by the government to the PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) as the investor, with Samsung C&T Corporation and Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (LILAMA) forming a consortium as the main contractors. LILAMA 10, a subsidiary of Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation, is responsible for installation works across various sites within the project.

The Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Thermal Power Plant project is the first in Vietnam to use LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) as fuel. Once operational, it will contribute to achieving the commitment of zero net emissions by 2025, as pledged by the Prime Minister at COP 26, COP 27, and COP 28 conferences recently held in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it will ensure the national energy security.

The highly skilled engineers and workers of LILAMA 10 are adjusting to position the generator onto the foundation

As of the current time, the Nhơn Trạch 3 and 4 power plants have achieved a construction progress of over 72% compared to the contracted volume, essentially meeting the set schedule.

In addition to the Consortium as the main contractor, LILAMA 10 is mobilizing all resources, including manpower, machinery, and equipment, to accelerate the construction and installation of various components across the project site. The engineers and workers of LILAMA 10 are working tirelessly day and night to implement the assigned tasks, thereby ensuring the safety, quality, and progress of the entire project.
